One of the Turkey’s most famous child actresses, Beren Gökyıldız, is almost 10 and already has thousands of admirers both in Turkey and abroad, especially in Latin America. Well-known with her characters in “Mother” and “Daughter, she has won “Best Performing Child Actress” award many times in Turkey. The series “Mother” produced in Turkey is the highly exported series to other countries. The series “Mother” having Beren in the leading role, won the special prize in “Tokyo International Drama Festival”. The same series won the “Best Drama” award held by Produ Magazine in Latin America.
The talented actress said that she was fond of playing her role and never had difficulty when performing. It is easy for her to leave her role and she said “As soon as the scene ends, I go back to Beren again.”
As a devoted fan of BlackPink, she would like to sing and dance beautifully like one of the members of the group, Jennie Kim. She has a great admiration for Korean food and fashion.

[00:32] Apparently I used to imitate everybody when I was little. In that way, I mean always imitating, I made my way into series and acted in advertising films. I like to get excited. For example, when I get excited about something my heart beats hard and fast. A scene arrives and it is an exciting scene. Another scene arrives and that is also an exciting scene. I mean, when every scene that happens is exciting and fun, when they are so good it is a great experience, and I feel it passes very quickly. [01:08]
[01:14] I have never been to Latin America. I know Argentina. If I wasn’t scared of flying I would go. It is a different pleasure to learn something foreign. I want to learn new words, types of cuisine and clothing. Apart from that, now for example, how do they live in Korea, what are their clothes, what do they eat. Chopsticks for example, I now use those chopsticks a lot. For example, I try to learn those things, I research them. When I grow older I want to be like Jennie from Blackpink. I want to be able to sing really well, I want to act really well. [01:50]
[02:03] When a scene ends, I am able to get out of that feeling right away. Just like that, I don’t persist with that feeling. I mean I just get right out of it and it ends. For example, I return to being Beren in her normal life between scenes. I return to being Beren. I don’t think about anything. I think in a totally ordinary way about my normal life. I think about Beren, I don’t think about Öykü or Melek. [02:27]
[02:40] Öykü, why are you doing this? Why are you running away from school? Why are you doing it, why? Why are you running away from school to sell tissues and earn money? I mean, don’t be stupid. It’s really bad. I don’t run away from school, I couldn’t run away, I don’t have the courage to do so. In fact I get scared just being out, how am I going to go you alone? [03:07]
[03:15] Why do we run away? School is there for learning. I mean, there may be people who do not like that but they must get an education. She ran away from school a lot. A few times she went to hospital to find out what the illness was. Once to sell tissues, she tried to earn some money to help her father, in fact she did that with three friends. She did it with Mertcan and İlayda. Öykü convinced her and in the end they got lost. Both got very tired, everybody cried, that’s how it was… But we had a lot of fun doing it. The three of us for example sat down, just like this. We were saying, “do you want tissues?” Then they said “cut” and we really laughed. We laughed and laughed so much. [04:04]
